Notable Achievements
Winter Guard (Fort Worth, TX)
I’ve won three Texas state championships in the Winter Guard circuit. A Color Guard is a group of athletes who perform with flags and other gear during foot ball games, marching with the band. During the winter, various color guard corps compete in various age groups. I performed with The Academy, run by Phil Salas known for his comedy and massive trick routines.
Artisan Center Theater (Fort Worth, TX)
While friends were volunteering their talents on stage at a family theater, I was organizing the director’s donor list from a pile of Post-it notes. I became a volunteer personal assistant to the director and learned how to do grant research and program design. My first proposal was for a kid’s afterschool program named “Act Up” and 20 years later, it is now the backbone funding method for the nonprofit.
Tipps Jewelry/Mx. Evans (Fort Worth, TX)
I was referred to Mz. Evans by the director of Artisan Center Theater. Mz. Evans worked full-time and was buying a jewelry store and I was hired to take inventory, catalog, and tag every item. Mz. Evans was very pleased with my work and willingness to follow her directions and take feedback, I began working as zer personal assistant. When the jewelry store opened, I became the first staff member. Twenty-plus years, Mz. Evans still calls me for organizational support.
The Maxwell Company (Alpine, TX)
I was directly recruited to help organize the files for The Maxwell Company, a family-owned and operated construction company. They didn’t have a strong front office and after updating their filing system I took over daily operations, accounts receivable, and started a client management system. Projects included The Maverick Inn and the art exhibit The Prada Marfa.

TD Ameritrade (Fort Worth, TX)
I became a stockbroker in 2007 before “The Big Short” that caused the housing market crash which in turn began the stock market crash. I quickly transferred up to an escalation and resolution desk while still earning awards for sales goals. I was the project lead for the Employee Trading Desk change management process and the adoption of my notes (over 70 pages) as the first Resource Desk Resolution Manual for the entire company.
Tahoma Community Land Trust (Tacoma, WA)
I was referred to the director of TCLT who was struggling to get the organization off the ground. The nonprofit paperwork wasn’t approved, they didn’t have their bylaws drafted properly, market copy, updated website, or a written pro tem plan. I implemented weekly meetings and started knocking out their to-do list. Eventually, TCLT met the funding requirements and I drafted the grant application which was awarded $250,000.
A Sandy Foundation (Tacoma, WA)
I’ve been supporting small business owners for over a decade because I enjoy the work of helping individuals and families reach their dream while becoming self-sufficient.
FARMER ED with Bowedg Farms
Full-time firefighter and father, Farmer Ed was ready to expand his farm with additional cattle, lambs, and chickens. This meant launching a website, working within state and federal industry standards, and getting his family involved.
MZ. EVANS with WindSong Studios
Mz. Evans is a returning client and mentor. Ze has tapped me over the years to help with project planning, organization, and remote office support.
Jessica Hannity with BowerBird Gardening
Jessica and I met writing grants together for a circle of farmer’s and she has since tapped me to help with various projects. One gleaning project included cold calling over 70 food banks and fielding availability. Jessica runs her own gardening business and is also acquiring a new one.
